Hi, My name is Richard M. Im a casual writer, and sometimes too casual. I've started my first book project back in 1986 (when I was 16) and shelved the idea till 1989... only wrote 50+ pages... (writters block... Hmmmmmmm) In 1996, I wrote my first script, it took 3 1/2 months to complete. Written by pen and white out! (Ive decided that a full book was too big for me to write and decided to write an easy script) In 2000, I thought that I should try to sell my script and had to type it out... I've came up with 200+ pages (and this was small print, too) so the script could of been 300+ pages... (ok, so I have written a book) After Ive learn that I have over written my script I've shorten it to a neat 120 pages... some of my crapy parts were easly kicked off... but I still had good number of pages to play with, and it wasnt easy... (but I did it!) In 2001, I copyright the script... In 2002... 7 film companies looked at it (no one picked it up) I've retired the script and wanted to start a new project... and something simple, too. 2005... Lets see what happens... Ok, I dont have much history on writing, but I did learn alot from my mistakes that I have made. I would like to know: Does it matter that your writting scripts, is it more nessary to be working on the movie (either making it or funding it) I dont know it seems that most of todays movies are just made by the usual suspects... I'll tell you about my script later... I dont know what I'm working on... but I would like to start something...
