hey everyone,
my name is shawn. i am 23 from huntington beach southern california. i am workin on a film right now which i would like to have entered into a horror film festival. i currently have 2 girls and 2 guys on my team and 1 effects guy*not including my self* i was wondering if anyone could help me out a little bit as this is my first time doing a short film. the thing is, i need to know how long it has to be, the basic rules*one girl is 17 and the other is 20 and ima try to add all the elements of a good horror film..blood, gore, a LITTLE sex appeal..the girls will be in cotton tees and panites*
if anyone can tell me if that would be ok i would greatly appreicate it. also if u could give me any insight as were and when i could send the tape. it should be done end of october*right b4 halloween.

If you're making a short film, film festivals usually want it to be really short. Like 10-20 minutes. Sometimes even under 10 minutes. As far as basic rules, I don't know. Just tell a good story, I guess. And be picky about which film festival you submit your film to. Film festivals usually require you a fee just to submit your film.
