Greetings sicko's. My name is Jason and I'm a film composer. I'm just beginning to promote myself as a film composer but Ive been told for years that my music sounds like it should be in a horror movie, or castelvania. I'm not looking for money (yet), so feel free to give me a holla if you'de like an original score for any size project. You can hear my music at garageband.com/artist/jfhorrorsoundtracksI live in Chicago (bang bang) but thanx to the internet I can work any where in the universe.

Hey, thanx man. Do you know any filmmakers who might be interested in using some of my music? Or could you suggest a good way to let horror filmmakers know that I exist? hey. fear from the deep was very cool!

Direct does work, it's starting to work for me. Just trawl through spot any posts you like and say hello. The horror Channel website is a good one as well. Competition is high, but in my opinion thats only good for making scores better, which in turn makes the film better. There is another website www.mandy.comI check this regularly , you can search for composers jobs. A lot of these want local people from the US or the jobs are based in LA. I have seen composer assistant jobs as well. Not all the films are horror based but another place for real opportunities. And if you're going to contact people make it POETIC. How many times do you delete a frigging email thats as boring as sh*t. The best examples of emails that are very cool to read are CDbaby or Red Bull Music Academy, both are spot on. It's starting to work for me too so it's no bull. What's the BENEFIT to that person working with you, what's in it for them? You're in competition with a lot of talented people (ahem ME!), so you've got to push it pretty hard.
