I was wondering how the other filmmakers on here financed their films.

Hi: That's question we (filmmakers) like to know. However, if you're doing a ultra low budget you might want to approach friends, family, business people in your area, anything from any one willing to give you or invest couple dollars. In order to have investors, (and to make it legal) you must open a LLC, which you can do online for about 300 bucks or so. I hope this help some, good luck, Bernardo

Some ways I Finance for a movie are:
1.Fundraising 2.Sales from Previous films 3.Savings from job 4.Sell stuff on ebay 5.Link for donations through Paypal on my site 6.Family/Friends
I usually have enough money within a few months. I also had a local store who use to supply us with makeup and special effects. We use to buy from them alot and eventually they asked us what we bought all the stuff for so we told them and then they eventually started donating stuff to us but they closed down a few years ago.

Personally there is no right or wrong answer, you can do fundraising, find an investor, sell stuff on Ebay, or do some porno (Lloyd Kaufman actually did this)...
