Hi everybody,
I just finished work on my latest short film 'Til Death. I'm not thrilled with the final product and was hoping to get some constructive feedback on the film.
To me the film feels unfinished but I can't quite put my finger on why. The pacing is a little too slow and I'm not crazy about the shots we ended up with (filming in a real apartment was a hassle but there was no alternative), and the audio is a little iffy (the apartment had more of an echo than I thought). I think the biggest problem with the film is that I just wasn't feeling the script - too melodramatic for my taste, which is odd since I wrote it (and it was a finalist in a short screenplay competition).
Anyway, excuses and explanations aside, I want to get some honest and constructive feedback. I'm on the verge of totally hating the film and I'm not sure if I'm being too harsh on it. I look forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks!
Plot:
When Keith learns his fiancée has been diagnosed with a fatal disease he promises to care for her for until the end. After months of struggling Caitlin finally succumbs to illness. Exactly one year later Keith begins experiencing strange phenomena in his home - lights turning off and on by themselves, strange phone calls, and hallucinations. Has Caitlin returned to her devoted lover?
