I've been noticing the horror community is a very BIG community. I normally produced urban dramas with some success, but I'm not happy. I want to try horror any advice you can give me, before i bark on this journey?

If I may ask, why are you not happy with the urban drama genre? Obviously you've made a few films already, I don't think working in the horror genre itself should be much different than other genres. Make sure to avoid the obvious cliches that still seem to plague even top notch directors still: the spring loaded cat, numerous false scares, etc. There are tons of cheap but effective special effect ideas list on this board that I've experimented with myself. And you know, I always like to use low key lighting (when you don't have a budget you don't have much of an option) but make sure not to get things too dark.
Anyway, I'm just a dabbler. It's something I do mainly for fun.

Not that I'm not happy with them. I'm just bored. I think horror would be alot of fun. I'm not sure, but I want to at least give it a try. I've been writing and watching alot of horror movies. Came up with some TWIST and concept I haven't yet seen yet. Believe it or not I think I have a whole NEW twist on the Zombie movie. Not that there is a need for another zombie movie. It's more bout the fun at this point.
