I'm curious if anyone on this forum has been able to produce a feature and break even, or even make money, and how. I think for me, it is the big mystery behind it all.
Is it realistic, on a micro-budget, to produce a feature, and not lose money?
I know that most film-makers keep this info close, I strongly suspect that most film-makers exaggerate their numbers at festivals to appear more succesful when talking publicly.
If there's anyone still out there, I would love to hear about your budget sucesses, failures, and close calls.
