My name is Scott Wohlstein and together with my partners and a team of talented story tellers and craftspeople, operate Visceral Films.
We acquire, develop and produce all genres, all formats, all budget sizes (but ideally between $1mm and $2.5mm).
Our current slate for 2016 contains 3 films, one of which is being developed from a script contest in conjunction with Land of Illusions and BAO Productions. The story must be any horror genre, between 70-90 pages, contain a mixed ensemble cast of 5-6 characters, and take place at specific locations at Land of Illusions Theme Park. The contest is open to anyone and there is no cost to electronically submit a screenplay. The winning writer receives credit and fees (commensurate with a $2mm feature) and a first-look deal with Visceral. More specific rules about the contest are located at www.visceralfilms.com/contest The contest ends at midnight (EST) on January 31, 2016, so if you or someone you know has a script you have been thinking about- or one you can modify to fit the rules of the contest- get it done and send it in!
We are always looking for great writers and storytellers (as well as cast and crew) all of which are paid positions.
Once in awhile we will get involved with no and low-budget projects but only if the story is amazing.
