Hey Lynx,
I had a look at your website and script, it certainly looks like you're a big fan of Halloween!
You mention that you're already in production, but is the script on your site the final draft?
I was struck by some of the early dialogue, especially lines like...
I don't want to seem too critical, but I would recommend taking the time to give your script a quick tighten before shooting.
Your film is a Halloween fan-film, which means that anyone who seeks it out will (most likely) have already seen the original movies. This makes the line quoted above redundant, and prehaps a little 'forced'. In everyday conversation people don't usually tell each other things they already know.
For example, I wouldn't greet my neighbor by saying "Hi Bob, how are you today on this lovely spring morning exactly fifteen years since we dropped out of law academy together."
Exposition is sometimes a really difficult thing to work into your script, but in this case your audience will already know most of the relevant information. Use this to your advantage.
In addition, the town of Haddonfield has seen so much horror on Halloween, that by now, I'd be surprised if they still celebrated it. Perhaps your script could reflect this aspect of life in the town? One of your characters mentions that...
I would say the entire town, and everyone in it knows this to be the exact opposite of the truth.
It might be that some of the youths in the area don't believe the tales of Michael Myers, or that they choose to host their own illicit Halloween party, but I do think they would know of the previous events on their doorstep.
If I was a parent in Haddonfield, I would be keeping my kids locked up every Halloween!
I hope you understand that none of this is meant to be anything other than constructive. It's great that you are getting out there and making a movie.
If you would like some help with your screenplay, I'd be happy to talk it over with you.
Best of luck with your film.
John

Thanks John,
I appreciate the comments. Unfortunately we are in production as I write this. We are shoting the whole project in about 7 days and the script was written in 5 days as well. With no budget things are running tight however if we get another project going I would appreciate the help.

Download last night took 3hours and I'm on DSL.... With todays technology the movie could have been compressed alittle more to maybe about 100MB instead of 400MB. Now about the film.. The GOOD ) Great opening title sequence great use of the original music and pumpkin. Some nice camera angles and shots throughout the film. The BAD ( It looks like the picture was squeezed to make it letterbox. Does not look good. The sound over all was not good, it didn't flow right throughout the film. The original Halloween music throughout the film you can tell was right off the Halloween movie itself and not the soundtrack. This also took away from the film. The soundtracks are sold everwhere. The special effects wasn't really there all the kill scenes were not good at all. It was not believable. However the psycho kill scene in the shower was a nice touch. I never really felt theaten by the shape, the overall film never really felt scary or suspencefull. Some of the scene were also alittle to dark. And some of the scenes that were lit could have use a diffuser to have made it less harsh. Final THOUGHTS I won't comments on the story because not everyone will like it and there will be those who will. And I won't comment on the acting because well not everyone is cut out for it. I will give you an "A" for effort because the film does show that you tried to make something special. But a "D" for the overall attempt.
