I've created a messageboard for the "Matrix Trilogy" of films and I'm confident I did a swell job on it. However, there doesn't seem to be much user activity. If anyone has even a mild interest in these great films, please give my messageboard a try. matrixhardline.proboards21.com/Thanks, alex

It looks like a great forum Alex, but aren't there already about 100,000 other forums out there for those movies? Also, I guess that since the final part of the trilogy is out now, there won't be so much for people to discuss. How about a forum dedicated to the upcoming Keanu Reeves movie 'Constantine'? I hear it's gonna be good.

If there are already 100 000 messageboards for "those movies" (as you so naively put it), that just goes to show you that there's a demand.
Besides, you obviously aren't a fan of the films. I'd doubt you have even watched one or all of them...If you had, you'd know that the story doesn't end in the films. There is so much philosophy, story-telling and complicated stuff that discussions on messageboards can last for a long time.

Dude, you've misunderstood me. I have nothing against the matrix, I liked the movies a lot, but I think that there are so many forums out there already (some of which have been established since the first film came out five years ago) and it is probably going to be very difficult to compete with those other forums. I'm not saying your forum is bad, quite the opposite, I think you've done a great job on it, but I reckon if you were to create a forum as cool as that for an upcoming movie, you might find a great deal of interest in your work. It's only my opinion. I was just trying to offer a suggestion as to why nobody is using your forum. I hope it works out for you.

This conversation reminds me of the airplane scene from Adam Sandler's "Anger Management," when he calmly refers to the flight attendants as "you people" and the African-American attendant takes offense. Alex - chill out. AJ was just trying to point out a reason why there may not be much activity on your board. Not to mention the fact that you just started this board and I doubt that your search engine listing is active just yet. (You did list, didn't you?) It usually takes a while for traffic to be directed your way. All of us need to remember that the members who use this board are of many different ages, come from many different places, and hold various occupations, some within the film industry. We need to keep this in mind when we feel like insulting someone with snide comments. The person you insult today, could be just the one that you need to help you out tomorrow. Don't rush to judgment. Stay positive and be a friend.

I know, I know... But seriously though, I spent a lot of time on my Board and to have someone say, "looks good, but aren't there like 100 000 other forums for those movies?" As if to say, y'know, that my Board is pretty worthless... Besides, I think 12 members in the first week is pretty good, don't you? Meh, I'll keep on truckin'. And by the way, I'd love to have anyone who likes the Matrix to join the Board...Even you, AJ.
