We just wrapped up the first day of shooting Domesticating Max! Everything went better than I could have ever hoped, except for one little mishap I'll mention later. The zombie makeup kicked ass, the small bit of gore we did today was great, and everything just flowed smoothly. Unfortunately, our man with the digital camera walked off the set so I won't be able to put up any pics until tomorrow. The second day of shooting is a wrap! Today we got a sh*tload of gore scenes shot, and let me tell you, WOW! We did suffer a big problem though, the actor for the role of Ryan couldn't make it because of a family members' health issue which is completely understandable. So, yours truly, Jack, filled the spot. We changed the role a little bit, so it all works out. Head over to our website to view the first production photos! Filming continues and ends August 13-14!

Sounds like everything is going good. I can't wait to see the final product. Is it for video release or online release or what?

Yeah, besides the missing actor and some pretty bad lighting, everything has gone good! As for the release, we're not letting out a lot of info yet, but we are looking to sell the DVDs off of our website. Like it says at our site, this is definitely no technical achievement, but if you're a gorehound you shouldn't miss out on this one! |

Some sad news to report from Ransom Pictures. My long time collaberator, who I met on this very site, has decided to leave Ransom. It's mostly due to creative differences, and it really sucks that he's leaving. I am not holding a grudge with him, but it's sad to see him go. This won't effect production on Domesticating Max, but it certaintly will effect me. Production continues and wraps up this weekend! Some additions to the script have upped the gore level a good amount, so that's pretty exciting. If you head over to our website you can also check out Jack's Journal, a cool little addition you guys should like.

Not too long ago we finished editing the entire movie together. Without credits, the film came to about 35 minutes. Now, we just have to fix the lighting a bit, add some sound effects, and get some music. After that? We plan on selling the film on DVD through our website for a price you can't refuse, plus the DVD will have a good amount of extras on it for you guys to check out. And the future for Ransom Pictures? There are several paths for us to take, but right now most of our focus is on completeing Domesticating Max. So stay tuned for more news on all of this!

We've decided that there won't be a DVD release for Domesticating Max. Instead, for a limited time, the movie will be available on our website for free. The movie is nearly done in post production, so you can expect it on the website in a few weeks.

Pretty cool. I suggest using Zippyvideos.com as a video host after a few days. They host up to 20mb videos if you sign up for free. Really cool.
