This is a movie I'm hoping to film later this year that takes place in June of 2007. I'm still writing the first draft, which is currently at about 111 pages. The film itself is a mixture of all the great horror elements from the previous decades:
Suspense from the 1970's, Gruesome deaths and gore from the 1980's, Slasher-like moments from the 1990's, and twists from the 2000's.
Plot:
A young girl named Lyndsy performs a Satanic voodoo ritual on her cats, which causes anyone who owns them to die. Meanwhile, six of her friends (four of which own the cats) are going to school during summer to test out an urban ghost legend. Little do they know what's in store for them as the six are viciously killed in a gruesome manner. The night doesn't end there, as one of the friends remains the sole survivor and the night and fights out a terrible twist that he never expected...
Characters (this is the casting report I plan on using to cast the actors. See if you can notice the nods to Halloween cast and characters):
NEILL CARPENTER (18) – Must be legally 18 to play. He is Canadian-American and is very outspoken. He is dating Hana, but is starting to realize that their relationship is built solely around sex.
LYNDSY DIANGELES (16) – Must be legally 18 to play. She is the main villain of the movie. She is into voodoo and is the one who put the curse on the cats. She is dating Connor O’Reilley.
ADAM MERRIMAN (18) – Must be legally 18 to play. He is Neill’s best friend and sometimes feel jealous that all the girls are falling for Neill instead of him. He has a crush on Kyana, but he doesn’t want to act on the feelings because he feels that their friendship will be ruined if they break up.
KYANA UNDERWOOD (16) – She is Renee’s best friend and doesn’t care at all what people think of her. Consequently, she is the virgin of the group and is the only member of the group not to get naked during the movie (whether it is shown or implied). She has a crush on Adam and knows he likes her. She is always flirting with him and hoping that they can go out one day.
RENEE TYVIANI (17) – She is Kyana’s best friend and Charm’s sister. She doesn’t care as much as Hana and Daisy do as to what people think of her, but she does care a little. She has a crush on Neill and is hoping that after he breaks up with Hana, he’ll go out with her. She wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
DEMON (16) – He is the secondary antagonist of the film, and is training Lyndsy for the alternate realm. It is discovered later in the storyline that he is the PT counterpart of Derrick O’Reilly. His body is made of latex and can often change. He has full-blown telekinetic powers.
DERRICK O’REILLY (16) – He is Irish-American, is Connor’s twin brother and is Charm’s boyfriend. He is the star quarterback (which is the sport his brother hates) of the school and is a sophomore. He is only seen at the ending of the first movie, but is a major character in the second movie.
CONNOR O’REILLY (16) – He is Irish-American, is Derrick’s twin brother, and is dating Lyndsy. He cares about his grades (more-so than his brother) and plays hockey, which is a sport that his brother hates. He is a sophomore as well, and is only seen at the ending of the first movie.
CHARM TYVIANI (15) – She is only seen for a few minutes in the film, but she is Renee’s sister. Renee bought a cat for her, and as a result, Renee was killed for no reason. She is dating Derrick O’Reilly, who is the star quarterback for the school.
HANA WALLACE (17) – She is Neill’s girlfriend and often uses it to her advantage. She is very promiscuous and not as smart as the other girls. She hangs out with Daisy a lot and the two often never go anywhere without the other.
DAISY PETRAKIS (16) – She is Hana’s best friend and, according to the other members, isn’t as smart as Hana is. She is very superficial and will only date guys for their looks.
VICTORIA DIANGELES (mid-30s) – She is Lyndsy and Kati’s mom.
KATI DIANGELES (11) – She is Lyndsy’s younger sister who owns the “mother cat,” that Lyndsy uses for her voodoo (although Kati doesn’t know this).
SEAN O’REILLY (40-ish) – He is Connor and Derrick’s dad, who is raising the two teenage boys on his own. He is seen briefly taking Connor to his hockey tournament and driving him back after the school catches on fire.
ORGY ATTENDEES (15-19) – Must be legally 18 to play. They are scene for a brief scene in which some of the characters participate in an orgy. FULL AND PARTIAL NUDITY REQUIRED.
OFFICERS/FIREFIGHTERS/EMTs (various) – You do not have to be 18 to play, but you must look older than 18. They are seen towards the end of the second act when the fire is started in the library.
HOSPITAL ORDERLIES AND DOCTORS (various) - You do not have to be 18 to play, but you must look older than 18. They are seen during the third act when they try to resuscitate the dead characters and do surgery on Lyndsy. In a very big scene, all four surgical doctors and orderlies are killed by Lyndsy and Demon.
NEWS ANCHOR (mid-20s) – Seen during news briefs/reports.
Deaths (names taken out)
1. Arms ripped off and decapitated.
2. Knocked unconscious and spine shredded.
3. Stomach ripped out.
4. Tortured and mutilated, then neck and mouth ripped apart with crucifix.
5. Back snapped and throat slashed.
6. Back slashed, stabbed in the back, scalped and skinned alive, and left for dead.
7. Eyes gouged out.
8. Nose ripped off.
9. Stabbed in head with scalpel.
10. Banged into wall.
11. Folded into box and eaten.
12. Door cut in half.
13. Neck snapped.
14. Neck snapped (this death scene might be cut when the movie is made due to it involving a kid)
15. Hung from ceiling rafters by neck.
16. Hung from ceiling rafters by neck.
Contains:
The movie contains strong language, gore, violence, shocking images, scenes of mutilation and torture, cannibalism, a scene of rape, and masturbation.
