Any ideas on how we can make a hit and run look believable without anyone getting hurt?

im planning on doing this for my next movie. i think if you show the person who's going to get hit, and the car going for them. thatll be symbolizing enough that their getting hit with the car

You could also maybe show the person, then the car going really fast. After that, you could have the car going really slow, like maybe 5 or 6mph and hit the person, and the person falls down, then speed it up in post-production. Of course, this may be hard to do.
